With art supplies strewn all about on the dinner table as a child, I had no concept of time as I created one drawing after another. The peace and limitless possibility of art captivated me ever since I could hold a pencil.
A Natural Choice
When deciding what career was right for me, it was only natural for it to have a focus on creativity. I chose marketing because it was a combination of art and business. From the art inspired by my artist mother and her intention when supporting me with art supplies to the many creations I’ve produced, it just fits.
I think of everything I do as a way to share my work with the world. Whether it’s a blog post, social reel, brochure, campaign performance presentation, earned news article, digital ad or AI-generated content with a human touch, it’s all art.
I’ll Always Remember
When my first op-ed published, my dad went and bought a copy in the morning and laminated it at the copy store. He greeted me at the top of the stairs with it and I’ll never forget the excitement I felt from seeing my work on that newspaper page.
I still have that laminated artifact to this day, and I still get the same feeling every time I see my work in marketing.
My Approach to Marketing
I see every strategy, campaign and piece of content as a work of art. I have a blank canvas, I ideate, I envision, I sketch, I research, I think of the outcome and I see how it ends up impacting me and others who see it.
I am passionate about business results I create, trying new things and seeing what sticks and finding better ways to connect with the target audience.
This is what excites me about marketing every day.
